It is optimized for rapid DNA digestion, achieving complete cleavage within 5–15 minutes at 37 °C using the universal FastDigest Buffer system.

As part of the FastDigest™ enzyme portfolio, Eco105I is fully active in both FastDigest and FastDigest Green Buffers, ensuring maximum convenience for single, double, or multiple digestions without buffer changes or DNA clean-up steps. Its optimized buffer composition prevents star activity and is fully compatible with downstream DNA-modifying enzymes such as T4 DNA Ligase, Klenow Fragment, T4 DNA Polymerase, and alkaline phosphatases.
