NAb™ Protein A Plus Spin Columns are pre-filled with Pierce™ Protein A Plus Agarose, a high-performance affinity resin consisting of native Protein A covalently bound to crosslinked 6% beaded agarose (CL-6B). The immobilization is achieved using AminoLink™ chemistry, which ensures stable, leach-resistant binding with minimal nonspecific interaction. This allows the resin to retain its high binding capacity and performance over multiple uses.
Each column is capable of purifying ≥34 mg of human IgG per mL of resin (approx. 16–17 mg of mouse IgG), offering greater capacity and throughput compared to standard agarose resins. The spin column format simplifies purification by eliminating the need for a chromatography system, making it especially suitable for time-sensitive protocols, method development, or routine antibody recovery.
