Composition

Preparation Procedure

1. Reconstitution: Dissolve the contents of one vial with 5 mL of sterile distilled water.
2. Mixing: Add the reconstituted supplement to 500 mL of G.C. Medium (autoclaved and cooled to 45–50°C).
   • Add 5% defibrinated horse blood (cooked as chocolate).
   • Add 1 vial of Vitalex Growth Supplement, reconstituted with 5 mL of Vitalex Restoring Solution (ref. 81023).
3. Dispensing: Mix thoroughly and pour into Petri dishes.

Quality Control

Prepared plates are tested using specific bacterial strains:

Incubation: 36 ± 1°C for 48–72 hours in an atmosphere containing 5–10% CO₂.

Storage

• Unopened: Store at 2–8°C in original packaging.
• Reconstituted: Store at -20°C (protected from light) for up to 30 days.
