The Thermo Scientific™ Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UDG, UNG) is a recombinant enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the N-glycosylic bond between uracil and sugar in DNA, leaving an apyrimidinic (abasic) site. It effectively removes uracil from both single- and double-stranded DNA, ensuring reliable control of PCR carry-over contamination and supporting advanced molecular biology applications.
