The MyBioSource General LPS ELISA Kit is a highly sensitive and specific assay designed for the quantitative detection of Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. This kit uses a Competitive ELISA principle to ensure accurate and reproducible measurement of LPS concentrations in various sample types.
Key Features
- Specificity:
- Recognizes LPS in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogs.
- Sample Compatibility:
- Suitable for serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.
- Quantitative Analysis:
- Provides precise measurement of LPS concentrations within a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL.
- High Sensitivity:
- Detects LPS levels as low as 0.94 ng/mL.
- Precision:
- Intra-Assay Precision: Variation within a single plate is minimal, ensuring reliable results.
- Inter-Assay Precision: Consistency across multiple plates is maintained for reproducibility.
- ISO Certification:
- Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory, ensuring quality and reliability.
Principle of the Assay
The assay is based on the Competitive ELISA technique, allowing for quantitative determination of LPS. The workflow is as follows:
- Pre-Coated Plate:
- The micro ELISA plate is pre-coated with LPS.
- Sample and Standard Competition:
- LPS in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of pre-coated LPS for binding sites on a biotinylated detection antibody specific to LPS.
- Washing Step:
- Excess conjugate and unbound components are washed away.
- HRP Conjugation:
- Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added and incubated.
- Substrate Reaction:
- A TMB substrate solution is added, producing a colorimetric reaction proportional to the amount of LPS bound.
- Stop Reaction and OD Measurement:
- The reaction is stopped, and the color intensity is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The LPS concentration is determined by comparing the optical density (OD) of the samples to the standard curve.
