- Invitrogen™ 4X Bolt™ LDS Sample Buffer
Invitrogen™ Bolt™ LDS Sample Buffer (4X) is a high-performance sample loading buffer formulated for denaturing gel electrophoresis using Bolt™ Bis-Tris Plus gels. The buffer contains lithium dodecyl sulfate (LDS) at pH 8.5, which supports optimal activity of reducing agents and ensures efficient protein denaturation.
Designed for compatibility with MES and MOPS SDS running buffers, the buffer includes Coomassie G250 and Phenol Red tracking dyes instead of bromophenol blue. This ensures a sharper dye front and prevents small peptides from running off the gel, especially when using MES SDS buffer.
The buffer also features a highly viscous and concentrated formulation, with higher levels of LDS and glycerol than conventional SDS sample buffers, providing better loading consistency and gel compatibility.

Recommended Use
- Dilute to 1X with protein sample
- Heat at 70 °C for 10 minutes (reduced or non-reduced format)
