The Invitrogen™ Quant-iT™ PicoGreen™ dsDNA Reagent is a highly sensitive fluorescent dye specifically designed for double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) quantification. It provides a broad dynamic range (50 pg to 2 μg) and is significantly more sensitive than UV absorbance methods, making it ideal for low-concentration DNA measurements.
The PicoGreen™ dye exhibits strong fluorescence enhancement upon binding to dsDNA, with excitation/emission maxima at 502/523 nm, allowing for precise quantification using fluorometers and fluorescence microplate readers.
📌 Two Packaging Options:
- P7581 – 1 x 1 mL Bottle (sufficient for ~200 assays)
- P11495 – 10 x 100 µL Tubes (small-volume format for reduced waste)
📌 Key Features:
- Highly specific for dsDNA – Minimal interference from ssDNA, RNA, or nucleotides.
- Rapid and easy workflow – Mix with sample, incubate for 5 minutes, and measure fluorescence.
- Compatible with multiple platforms – Works with fluorometers and microplate readers.
