The Invitrogen™ IL-17A Monoclonal Antibody (eBio64DEC17), conjugated to eFluor™ 450, is a highly specific antibody designed for detecting human IL-17A. IL-17A, a cytokine produced by Th17 cells, plays a critical role in inflammatory responses and immune regulation. This antibody is validated for flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, offering bright fluorescence for accurate detection of IL-17A in a variety of research contexts.
Key Features:
- Target and Specificity:
- Recognizes human IL-17A, a 32 kDa cytokine involved in inflammatory and autoimmune responses.
- Neutralizing antibody with high specificity for IL-17A.
- Clone and Conjugate:
- Clone: eBio64DEC17, ensuring reliable and reproducible performance.
- Conjugate: eFluor™ 450, providing bright and stable fluorescence with excitation at 405 nm and emission at 445 nm.
- Validated Applications:
- Suitable for intracellular staining in flow cytometry, as well as immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry.
- Bright and Stable Fluorescence:
- eFluor™ 450 offers an alternative to Pacific Blue®, delivering high signal intensity with minimal background noise.
- Ready-to-Use:
- Pre-titrated and optimized for ease of use, requiring 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test.

Usage Recommendations:
- Sample Preparation:
- Stimulate human peripheral blood cells under Th17-polarizing conditions using IL-23 or similar reagents.
- Staining Protocol:
- Use the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set for intracellular staining.
- Add 5 µL (0.5 µg) of antibody per 100 µL of cell suspension.
- Flow Cytometry:
- Analyze samples using a flow cytometer equipped with a violet laser (405 nm).
- Fixation:
- Fix samples in appropriate buffers to preserve fluorescence for up to 3 days.
Storage and Handling:
- Store at 4°C in the dark to protect the eFluor™ 450 fluorochrome.
- Do not freeze, as freezing may degrade the antibody or fluorochrome.
Target Information:
- IL-17A:
- A pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by Th17 cells.
- Regulates immune responses and is implicated in autoimmune diseases, inflammation, and host defense.
- Stimulates epithelial and fibroblast cells to produce pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-6, IL-8, and G-CSF.
