Thermo Scientific™ 1-Step™ Ultra TMB-Blotting Solution is an enhanced, ready-to-use chromogenic substrate for detecting horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in Western blotting applications. It uses soluble TMB (3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine), which reacts rapidly with HRP to produce an insoluble dark blue precipitate on the membrane.
This single-component substrate is designed to provide high sensitivity, strong signal-to-noise performance, and low background compared with many conventional chromogenic substrates. It is compatible with both nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes and requires no special imaging equipment, making it a practical choice for laboratories requiring visual Western blot detection.
