False-positive test results contribute to increased time and expense for laboratories. Reducing false-positive incidents can be achieved by rigidly controlling the final specimen pH level with the use of PRB™ Pellet Resuspension Buffer.
Used in conjunction with NAC-PAC® RED and NPC-67® Neutralizing Buffer, resuspending and buffering with PRB further manages pH by bringing the sample to a tightly controlled pH range of 6.8–7.1; the optimum range for mycobacteria viability in culturing and diagnostics.
