Using Oxford Nanopore’s nanopore sequencing technology, the MinION Mk1D enables real-time sequencing and analysis of DNA or RNA molecules. As DNA molecules pass through nanopores embedded in sequencing flow cells, changes in electrical current are detected and converted into nucleotide sequences by base-calling software.
The MinION Mk1D is compatible with MinION Flow Cells and Flongle Flow Cells, allowing researchers to scale experiments from small targeted runs to high-throughput genomic sequencing.
