The Invitrogen™ Human TGF beta-1 ELISA Kit is a solid-phase sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of human Transforming Growth Factor beta-1 (TGFβ1 / TGFB1) in serum, plasma, buffered solutions, and cell culture supernatants. The kit recognises both natural and recombinant human TGF beta-1, making it suitable for cytokine research, inflammation studies, fibrosis research, oncology research, and cell signalling investigations.
The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with a target-specific capture antibody. Samples, standards, or controls bind to the immobilised antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP. Signal development is measured using an absorbance microplate reader, with signal intensity proportional to the amount of TGF beta-1 present in the sample.
