The Human Interferon γ (IFN-γ) ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of IFN-γ concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.
Interferon-γ is a critical cytokine secreted primarily by activated T cells and NK cells, playing a central role in immune regulation, inflammation, and antiviral responses.
This kit employs a high-sensitivity sandwich ELISA method, pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for human IFN-γ, ensuring precise and reproducible quantification suitable for immunology and cell biology research.
Key Features
- High Sensitivity: Detection limit of 9.4 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.6–1,000 pg/mL.
- Precision Performance: Intra-assay CV < 10%, inter-assay CV < 12%.
- Comprehensive Kit: Includes standards, buffers, HRP conjugate, and substrate reagents for 96 determinations.
- Rapid Assay Time: Total time approximately 3 hours.
- Reliable Quantification: Linear standard curve with reproducible optical density readings at 450 nm.
- Validated Protocol: Based on the sandwich ELISA principle with HRP-TMB colorimetric detection.
- Quality Controlled: Manufactured under strict production and testing guidelines for consistent lot-to-lot reproducibility.
Principle of the Assay
This assay is based on a sandwich ELISA technique:
- The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with anti-human IFN-γ antibody.
- Samples and standards are added, allowing IFN-γ to bind the immobilized antibody.
- A HRP-conjugated detection antibody binds to the captured IFN-γ.
- Following washing, TMB substrate is added for color development.
- The reaction is terminated, and absorbance is measured at 450 nm, proportional to IFN-γ concentration.
- Concentrations are determined via comparison with a standard curve.
