The sprayer operates using low-pressure air (approximately 5 PSI) or a rubber pressure bulb, allowing researchers to apply staining or visualization reagents evenly across the TLC plate surface. The spray pattern can be easily adjusted by varying the coverage of the vent hole with the user’s thumb, providing greater control during reagent application.

The system features an atomizer top attached to an Erlenmeyer-shaped reservoir via a Rodaviss® 24/40 joint, ensuring a secure, grease-free seal between components. This design eliminates traditional glass hooks used in other sprayers and improves durability and reliability during routine laboratory use.

Each complete sprayer includes the atomizer assembly, Erlenmeyer reservoir, open-top screw cap, and a Viton® O-ring, ensuring chemical compatibility and leak-free operation.
