The Applied Biosystems™ ProFlex™ 3 × 32-well PCR System is a modular, high-performance thermal cycler designed for laboratories that need maximum flexibility, parallel processing, and precise thermal control. Its unique configuration allows three independent PCR experiments to be run simultaneously on three separately controlled 32-well modules, making it ideal for shared lab environments and optimization workflows.
Each module features VeriFlex™ zone technology, with two independent Peltier elements per block, enabling better-than-gradient temperature control for advanced PCR optimization and non-PCR incubations. This allows different temperature conditions to be applied within the same run, saving both time and reagents.
The system also supports tool-free interchangeable blocks, so users can easily upgrade or change configurations as throughput needs evolve. Block exchange takes less than 15 seconds and requires no additional tools or accessories.
A large 8.4-inch color touchscreen provides intuitive control, while built-in WiFi, Ethernet, USB, and cloud connectivity supports remote monitoring, protocol management, and data transfer via mobile app.
To ensure easy migration from older platforms, the ProFlex includes thermal simulation modes that replicate the ramp rates of legacy thermal cyclers such as MJ Research PTC-200, Bio-Rad C1000, Veriti, 9700, and Eppendorf Mastercycler.
