Thermo Scientific™ FastDigest Hin1II is a high-quality, fast-acting restriction endonuclease that recognizes the CATG^ sequence and cleaves DNA efficiently to produce 3′ overhangs. Engineered for use in FastDigest™ and FastDigest™ Green Buffers, this enzyme enables complete digestion in just 5–15 minutes at 37°C, with 100% activity across all FastDigest-compatible enzymes and buffers. The enzyme is ideal for high-throughput molecular workflows, including restriction mapping, SNP detection, and cloning.
Key Features & Benefits
- Fast and Efficient: Complete digestion in 5–15 minutes
- Universal Buffer Compatibility: No need for buffer exchange in single, double, or multiple digestions
- No Star Activity: Optimized formulation prevents off-target cleavage
- Gel-Ready Reaction Mix: FastDigest Green Buffer includes tracking dyes and density reagent
- Heat Inactivation: Simple inactivation at 80°C
- Stable Storage: Recommended at –70°C; 6-month half-life at –20°C
- Downstream Ready: Compatible with ligation, blunting, dephosphorylation, and other modifying enzymes directly in the same buffer
Applications
