The Virplex® GENITAL ULCER Real-Time PCR Kit is a multiplex real-time PCR assay for the simultaneous detection of seven key pathogens associated with genital ulcer disease (GUD). This innovative assay covers HSV-1, HSV-2, Treponema pallidum, Haemophilus ducreyi, VZV, Chlamydia trachomatis serovar L (CT-LGV), and Monkeypox virus (MPXV) in samples collected from skin lesions and perianal/rectal exudates.

This is the first genital ulcer multiplex PCR kit that includes MPXV, making it a comprehensive solution for sexually transmitted infection (STI) and outbreak surveillance.

    Key Features

    • Comprehensive Coverage – Detects 7 major GUD pathogens: HSV-1, HSV-2, TP, HD, VZV, CT-LGV, and MPXV.
    • Unique MPXV Inclusion – First market-available genital ulcer kit covering Monkeypox virus.
    • Multiplex Design – Two reaction tubes per sample for simultaneous multi-pathogen detection.
    • Internal Control – Validates PCR integrity and monitors amplification inhibition.
    • Rapid Turnaround – Delivers results in under 2 hours.
    • Flexible & Convenient – Lyophilized master mix, positive control, and pre-dispensed divisible plate format.
