The Thermo Scientific™ DrySpot™ Legionella pneumophila Serogroup 2–14 Latex Agglutination Test provides a fast, easy-to-use method for the confirmatory identification of Legionella pneumophila serogroups 2–14. Designed for use with colonies grown on agar plates, this test is suitable for both clinical isolates from patients with suspected Legionellosis and environmental samples from water systems and other sources.

The test uses blue latex particles sensitized with specific rabbit antibodies that agglutinate in the presence of L. pneumophila serogroups 2–14 antigens. Each card also includes a built-in negative control area with non-reactive globulins to confirm test specificity.
