Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Meropenem Antimicrobial Susceptibility Discs are high-performance, pre-measured paper discs used for manual antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) by the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. These discs contain either 5 µg or 10 µg of Meropenem, a potent carbapenem-class β-lactam antibiotic widely used against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria.

Each disc is housed in a shatterproof, spring-loaded cartridge, individually sealed with desiccant to maintain <2% moisture and ensure long-term stability and consistent performance. The discs are manufactured in accordance with CLSI, EUCAST, DIN, BSAC, and SFM guidelines, providing dependable zone-of-inhibition data for resistance surveillance and therapy guidance.
