Target Information
TGF beta 1 is a cytokine belonging to the transforming growth factor beta superfamily. It is involved in regulating key cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, and migration. TGF beta 1 is commonly studied in cancer biology, fibrosis, immune regulation, tissue remodelling, wound healing, and extracellular matrix signalling.
TGF beta 1 is often stored in the extracellular matrix as a latent complex and can be activated through interactions involving integrins and latent TGF beta binding proteins. Its expression and signalling are important in many biological systems, and altered regulation has been associated with tumour biology and several disease-related research areas.
Storage & Handling
Store at –20°C for routine long-term storage, or at –80°C if preferred. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Handle using standard laboratory PPE and follow institutional safety procedures, especially because the formulation contains ProClin 300.
