Liofilchem Rosolic Acid Supplement is a lyophilized selective additive designed to enhance the isolation and differentiation of fecal coliforms in microbiological analysis. It is used in conjunction with m-Faecal Coliform Agar (mFC) for the detection and enumeration of fecal coliforms in water and other samples, following standard methods recommended by the APHA (1985).

Instructions for Use:
- Reconstitution:
- Aseptically reconstitute the content of one vial of Rosolic Acid Supplement with 5 ml of sterile distilled water.
- Mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
- Preparation with mFC Agar:
- Add the reconstituted solution to 500 ml of m-Faecal Coliform Agar (mFC).
- Mix well to ensure uniform distribution.
- Heating:
- Bring the medium to boil.
- Do not sterilize the medium.
- Cooling and Dispensing:
- Allow the medium to cool to 50°C.
- Distribute into sterile Petri dishes under aseptic conditions.
