System Functionality
Each test panel is composed of a clear plastic tray with multiple wells containing enzyme-impregnated substrates. A suspension of the test isolate in RapID Inoculation Fluid (R8325106) is inoculated into each well in a single step. After a four-hour incubation, wells are examined for color changes. In some cases, RapID Spot Indole (R8309002) is added to enhance endpoint visibility. The resulting profile of positive and negative reactions is then matched to an identification database or interpreted via ERIC™ software.
