Formulation (per liter)

Preparation Instructions

To prepare 1 liter of LB Agar (Lennox):

1. Weigh 37 g of powder.
2. Add distilled water to make up to 1 L.
3. Adjust pH to 7.0 ± 0.2 using 5 N NaOH.
4. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121 °C for 25 minutes.
5. Cool to ~50 °C before pouring into Petri dishes if required.
