Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Doripenem Antimicrobial Susceptibility Discs are high-quality in vitro diagnostic tools designed for manual antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) using the disc diffusion method. Each 6 mm disc is impregnated with 10 µg of doripenem—a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic used in treating severe infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria.

These discs are housed in spring-loaded, shatterproof cartridges for ease of dispensing, while individual desiccant-sealed foil blister packs preserve stability and maintain moisture levels below 2%.

Doripenem discs are ideal for determining the susceptibility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacterales, and other clinically significant pathogens, especially in critical care and antimicrobial resistance surveillance contexts.

Key Features

  • Contains 10 µg of doripenem per disc
  • Designed for manual disc diffusion AST (Kirby-Bauer method)
  • High accuracy and reproducibility with validated performance
  • Spring-loaded cartridge with clear end-of-cartridge indicator
  • Individually sealed blister packs with <2% moisture for long-term stability
  • Complies with CLSI and EUCAST standards
  • For in vitro diagnostic use only

Packaging Format

  • 50 discs per cartridge
  • 5 cartridges per pack (250 discs total)
  • Desiccant-sealed foil blister packaging
