The Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Pseudomonas Agar Base (Dehydrated) is a selective medium designed for the isolation and differentiation of Pseudomonas species from a variety of clinical, food, water, and environmental samples. Based on the modification of King's A Medium, it incorporates magnesium chloride and potassium sulfate to enhance pigment production and improve recovery of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. When supplemented with the appropriate additives (SR0102 or SR0103), the medium can be tailored for specific applications.

Preparation Instructions
- Suspend 45.5g of Pseudomonas Agar Base powder in 1 liter of distilled water.
- Heat to dissolve completely.
- Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
- Cool to 50°C, and aseptically add the appropriate selective supplement (SR0102 or SR0103) as directed.
- Mix thoroughly and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
