Gibco™ DPBS (10X) is a concentrated, sterile balanced salt solution (BSS) modified to include calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺), but without phenol red or sodium pyruvate. It is widely used in cell culture workflows, serving as a base for reagent preparation, buffer for sample handling, or transport medium for cells and tissues.
This formulation supports cell adhesion and signaling pathways, making it preferable when enzymatic dissociation is not required. As a 10X concentrate, it must be diluted and pH-adjusted prior to use.
