The DynaMag™-2 Magnet is optimized for precise magnetic separation of Dynabeads™ (ranging from 1 to 4.5 μm in diameter) in sample volumes less than 2 mL. It combines a strong magnetic attraction for efficient separations in standard microcentrifuge tubes with a flexible and ergonomic design.

Key Features:

  1. Working Volume:
    • Optimal for volumes ranging from 10–2,000 μL.
  2. Tube Capacity:
    • Holds up to 16 standard 1.5–2 mL microcentrifuge tubes in numbered spaces.
  3. Ergonomic Design:
    • Removable top rack for ease of resuspension, vortexing, rotation, or manual sample shaking.
    • Center pin in the rack ensures uniform vortexing of all tubes.
  4. Versatile Use:
    • Compatible with all types of Dynabeads™, suitable for protein and nucleic acid isolation.
  5. Ease of Workflow:
    • Parallel sample handling with 16 numbered spaces (8 on each side).
    • Rack can be used as a storage solution for tubes on the bench, in the refrigerator, or in the incubator.
  6. Scalability:
    • Allows seamless scaling of protocols to accommodate 96-well plate reactions.

  • Not compatible with the MX4 Mixer.
  • The removable sample rack is also available separately (Cat. No. 123-22D).
    • Additional racks minimize the need to transfer tubes and offer flexible storage.
